About us

A building firm that does its own electrics.

Most renovations need an electrician at some point. Ours is already on the job.

Chris Fairbank started the business after years as an electrician waiting on builders, and builders waiting on him. Now it’s one team. Bricklayers, joiners, plasterers and qualified electricians plan the work together from the first visit.

Most of what we do is extensions, loft conversions and full refurbishments. We still take on smaller jobs too, like a new consumer unit, a leaking gutter or a damp wall that needs sorting.

You’ll get a written quote, a realistic timeline and someone who answers the phone.

What we’re mostly asked for

Bigger projects, planned properly.

Extensions

02

Loft conversions

Turning an empty loft into a bedroom or office, with the stairs, insulation, lighting and heating included.

03

Full refurbishments

Taking a house back to the brick and putting it right: new layout, rewire, plastering, kitchen and bathroom.

FAQs

Questions we get asked a lot.

Do you charge for quotes?

No. Visits and written quotes are free anywhere in our usual area.

Will you take on small jobs?

Yes. Plenty of our regular customers started with a small repair. If we can’t fit it in quickly, we’ll tell you straight away.

Do I need planning permission for an extension?

Many single-storey extensions fall under permitted development, but it depends on the house. We’ll tell you what’s likely to be needed and can put you in touch with a local architect if you need drawings.

Can you do electrical work on its own?

Yes. Rewires, consumer units, EICRs and fault finding are all booked as standalone jobs.

Do you work for landlords and letting agents?

Yes, including EICRs, empty-property turnarounds and ongoing maintenance.

How soon can you start?

Small jobs are usually within a couple of weeks. Bigger projects tend to be booked a month or two ahead, and we’ll give you a realistic date when we quote.
