Which floor?
It’s the same conversation we’d have on your doorstep with the samples. Use it to narrow things down before we come out, or just for a nosey.
A living room is where wood earns its keep: it looks better every year and it’s the floor people comment on.
If the room runs cold or you like bare feet in the evening, a good carpet is still the cosiest answer.
We’ll check the boards on the measure. A few screws and a sheet of ply underneath is often all it takes.

About us
Aire Valley Flooring is Mark and Jo Rowley. Mark has fitted floors since he was seventeen, first for a big retailer and then on his own since 2014. Jo runs the samples, the measures and the diary, which means when you ring, you get a person who knows your job.
We don’t have a showroom and we don’t want one. The samples come to you, you see them against your walls in your light, and nobody is standing over you while you decide.
How it works
Four visits at most, often two. We keep it simple so you can get on with everything else.
Tell us roughly what you’re after and Jo brings a case of the likely ones. Keep a couple for a few days if you want.
Mark measures up, checks the subfloor, the doors and the thresholds, and gives you one written price with everything in it.
Old floor out, boards screwed or concrete levelled, then the new floor laid and finished with the right trims.
Everything moved back, floor hoovered, doors trimmed so they still close. You walk on it that evening.
Fitting day
Not much. Tick these off and we’ll be in and out before the kettle’s cold. We’ll send this list again the day before.

Where we work
We’re based in Bingley, and most of our rooms are along the Aire between Keighley and Bradford. Ilkley, Guiseley and the Wharfe side are a short hop too.

Yes. Fitting-only is a fair chunk of what we do. We’ll check what you’ve got, tell you if it needs anything underneath, and quote for the fitting on its own.
No, leave it to us. Taking up the old floor, lifting gripper and disposing of it is included in the price, and we’ll tell you if we find anything underneath that needs sorting.
If the new floor is thicker than the old one, we trim the doors on the day. It’s in the price and we’d rather do it than have you living with a door that sticks.
Engineered wood, LVT and most laminates can, with the right underlay and the heating kept under about 27°C. Solid wood can’t. We’ll confirm on the measure.
A typical living room or bedroom is a day. Hall, stairs and landing in carpet is usually a morning. Herringbone and parquet take longer because every piece is laid by hand.
Yes. Our fitting is guaranteed for two years, and the flooring itself carries the manufacturer’s guarantee, which is typically ten to twenty-five years depending on what you choose.
