Gas work, rewiring or new circuits, structural changes and roofing. Those need a specialist, and I’ll happily point you to the trades I trust locally.

Questions
Before you book
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, one hour at £45. It covers getting to you and doing a small job properly. If you’ve got a few small jobs, a half day is usually better value.
Do I need to buy the materials?
You can, or I’ll pick them up. Fixings, plugs and sealant are included. Anything bigger, like a tap, lock or fence panel, I charge at cost with the receipt.
Are you insured?
Yes, with £2 million public liability insurance. I’m happy to send a copy, which letting agents often ask for.
Can you do electrical or gas work?
No. Anything beyond like-for-like swaps, such as a new light fitting where one already is, needs a qualified electrician, and gas always needs a Gas Safe engineer. I’ll tell you who I’d use.
Do I need to be in?
For the first visit, ideally. After that, plenty of customers leave a key or a code. Landlords can arrange key collection from their agent.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or card when the job’s done and you’re happy with it. Landlords and agents can pay on invoice.
