Websites for window fitters that win the quote.

Homeowners get a few quotes for new windows and doors, and they look you up before they decide. I’ll build you a site that shows your installs, explains your guarantees and makes asking for a quote easy. You only pay when you’re happy with it.

Why a website?

People compare a few quotes. Your website helps them choose you.

Most window and door work still comes from recommendations and neighbours seeing your installs, and that’s no bad thing. But new windows are a big spend, so homeowners get more than one quote and check each company out before they decide.

Three reasons it’s worth having one

  1. Show the finish up close

A new door or a full set of windows is something people see every day. Photos of finished installs, with the style, colour and town, show homeowners the standard you work to.

  2. Win when they compare quotes

Customers usually get three quotes. Your guarantees and accreditations like FENSA or CERTASS, shown clearly, help yours stand out against the cheapest.

  3. Lead with full installs

Full-house windows and composite doors up front, not just misted units.

What I’d build for you

Everything a homeowner checks before they ring

Built around the installs you want more of, with your guarantees front and centre. The screenshots are from Hollins Windows & Doors, an example design I’ve built for a window and door fitter.

  1. They ask “Do you do the job I need?”

Service pages that bring in full installs

Some homeowners want a full set of windows, others just a door that locks properly. They want to know quickly whether you take on their job, and which styles and finishes you offer.

    What you get

    • Your main services near the top, led by the installs you want more of
    • Plain descriptions of each one, including styles, finishes and how long fitting takes
    • On Trade and Pro, a separate page for each main service, like windows, composite doors or repairs
    • Smaller jobs still listed, without crowding out the work you want

Jobs your site could lead with

    • uPVC windows
    • Composite doors
    • French and patio doors
    • Replacement glazing
    • Window and door repairs
    • Lock upgrades

Each service with what’s included and how long it takes, from the Hollins Windows & Doors example design
  2. They ask “Have you fitted something like this?”

Galleries that show the finish and win the job

Windows and doors sell on how they look on the house. Photos of finished installs, with the style, the colour and the town, help homeowners picture them on their own home.

    What you get

    • Finished installs grouped by type, so a door customer sees doors
    • The style, finish and town for each job
    • Before-and-after photos where you have them
    • Your phone photos cropped, colour-corrected and compressed so they look sharp and load fast

Finished installs labelled with the type and town, from the Hollins Windows & Doors example design
  3. They ask “Will you do a proper job?”

A reputation that beats the cheapest quote

Homeowners have heard about pushy sales and poor fitting. Reviews, guarantees, insurance and a fixed price set you apart from the companies they’re wary of.

    What you get

    • Genuine Google reviews, shown near your installs
    • Your guarantees, insurance and accreditations, like FENSA or Certass, where you hold them
    • How you work: a free survey, a fixed written quote and agreed fitting dates
    • Only real reviews and credentials, never made-up ones
The reviews section of the Hollins Windows & Doors example design: an example rating and three customer quotes about a new front door, a replaced misted unit and a door repair
Reviews that mention the job and the town, from the Hollins Windows & Doors example design
  4. They ask “Do you cover my area?”

Found by homeowners searching in your area

People search for the job and the town, like “double glazing Halifax” or “composite doors Huddersfield”. Your site has to say clearly what you do and where before Google can match you to those searches.

    What you get

    • The towns you cover, listed on the pages that matter
    • Page titles, headings and descriptions that name your window and door work and your area
    • Your business details set up so search engines can read them, linked to your Google Business Profile if you have one
    • On Pro, pages for the main towns you cover. Good foundations, but nobody can honestly promise a ranking
The areas section of the Hollins Windows & Doors example design: covering Halifax and Calderdale, with the towns listed and marked on a map
Towns covered, listed and shown on a map, from the Hollins Windows & Doors example design
  5. They ask “How do I get a quote?”

More quote requests, with less back and forth

Most people start with a rough idea, like three bedroom windows and a back door. The fewer steps between them and you, the fewer enquiries slip away.

    What you get

    • Tap-to-call and WhatsApp buttons, plus a bar that stays at the bottom of the screen on phones
    • A short enquiry form that comes straight to you, with spam protection built in
    • Fields that ask what they need, roughly how many windows or doors, and the postcode, so you can reply properly
    • Built and tested on phones first, and quick to load on a weak signal
The quote section of the Hollins Windows & Doors example design: WhatsApp and call options beside a form asking the postcode, the service needed and details of the job

Who builds it

Built by someone who knows the trades

I’ve worked in general building for over eight years. I know what it’s like to be on site all day, then quote jobs, answer customers and keep the business going around the actual work, with most of it coming from recommendations.

I’m not a window fitter, so the details come from you. My job is to put your best installs, guarantees and reviews up front and make asking for a quote the easy next step. You deal with me throughout, not a sales team.

How it works

Three steps, live in as little as a week

You don’t need to become a web designer or a copywriter. A short call and some photos of your work, and I handle the writing, design and technical side.

  1. We talk it through

A short call about what you do, the work you want more of (full houses rather than single units, say), the areas you cover and the guarantees you offer.

  2. I build your website

I write the copy around that work, pick your best install photos and build the site around them. You don’t have to write a word.

  3. You approve it. I launch it.

You check it and ask for any changes. Once you’ve approved it, you pay and it goes live.

If you don’t approve it, you don’t pay.

What’s one extra job worth to you?

Move the sliders to your own numbers. This works out turnover, what customers pay you, not profit.

Extra turnover

A Trade website is £495, paid once you’re happy with it. One or two jobs could cover it.

An illustration using your figures. It isn’t profit, and it isn’t a promise of extra work.

FAQ

Questions window and door fitters ask

Keep it coming. A recommendation gets your name passed on, and your site is what backs it up when someone checks you out before inviting you round to measure up. It’s also the one place with no other window fitters suggested next to you. Why word of mouth and a website work together.

No. I build your site first, you look it over and ask for any changes. You only pay once you’re happy with it. If it’s still not right for you, you walk away owing nothing.

No. Phone photos are fine, especially in good daylight. A finished front door, a neat bay window or a close-up of the sealing shows the standard of your work. Send me what you’ve got, and I’ll pick the best and prepare them for the site. I can also tell you which installs are worth photographing, and you can send more to add later. How to take better photos of your work.

Yes. Your installs, guarantees and reviews are laid out clearly, so when someone has three quotes on the table, yours is the one that looks established and worth paying for, not just the cheapest.

Yes. I’ll build the site around your logo and colours. If you don’t have a logo, the site can use your business name in a clean, simple style.

I build it with local SEO foundations in place. The page title, headings and copy name the window and door work you do and the towns you cover, so search engines can match you to searches like “double glazing Halifax” or “composite doors Huddersfield”. That way Google knows what you do and where, and the page is quick to load on a phone. It gives you solid foundations, but no web designer can guarantee a particular position in Google. What else helps you show up locally.

Yes. The quote form asks how many windows and doors, the style and roughly when, so you can give a guide price or book a survey without a long phone call.

Yes. Your guarantees, insurance and any accreditations, like FENSA or Certass, can sit near the top where people look. I only show credentials and logos you actually hold.

Yes. Plenty of fitters do both. Your site can lead with the installs you want more of and still make it clear you take on repairs and replacement glazing, so you don’t lose the jobs that keep the diary full.

No. We have a short call about your business and the work you want more of, you send me some photos, and I write and build the rest.

A one-page site is usually ready in about a week, a Trade site in about two weeks and a Pro site in two to three weeks. I’ll give you a date on our first call.

Yes. Send me photos of a new job, or the change you want, and I’ll update it for you. Content updates are £30 an hour, and most new-job updates are quick. New sections or design changes are quoted separately.

Yes, it’s yours once you’ve paid for it, with no lock-in. Hosting and support are included for the first 12 months. After that it’s £19 a month, rolling, so you can cancel anytime. If you do, I’ll send you the files and transfer your domain so you can host it wherever you like.
