Websites for plumbers that get the call.

When the boiler packs in, people ring whoever looks trustworthy and easy to reach. I’ll build you a site that shows what you do, puts your Gas Safe details up front and makes calling you easy. You only pay when you’re happy with it.

Why a website?

People want to know they can trust you in their home before they ring.

Most plumbing and heating work still comes from regular customers and recommendations, and that’s no bad thing. But when there’s no heating or water through the ceiling, people search, compare a couple of names and ring the one that looks most reliable.

Three reasons it’s worth having one

  1. Be the one they ring first

In a breakdown, people don’t read for long. Your number, the areas you cover and what you fix need to be clear straight away, so they ring you rather than the next name on the list.

  2. Turn emergency callers into regulars

Someone who finds you in a breakdown can come back every year for a service, if your site makes you easy to find again.

  3. Lead with the bigger jobs

Boilers, heat pumps and bathrooms up front, so the bigger work finds you, not just the dripping taps.

What I’d build for you

Everything a homeowner checks before they ring

Built around the plumbing and heating work you want more of, with your credentials front and centre. The screenshots are from Ryburn Plumbing & Heating, an example design I’ve built for a plumber.

  1. They ask “Do you do the job I need?”

Service pages that bring in the bigger jobs

“Plumber” covers everything from a dripping tap to a new heating system. Homeowners want to know quickly whether you take on their job, and whether you do gas, heat pumps or both.

    What you get

    • Your main services near the top, led by the work you want more of
    • Plain descriptions of each one, including what’s involved and what’s included
    • On Trade and Pro, a separate page for each main service, like boilers, heat pumps or bathrooms
    • Smaller jobs still listed, without crowding out the work you want

Jobs your site could lead with

    • Boiler repairs and servicing
    • New boilers
    • Heat pumps
    • Power flushing
    • Bathrooms and showers
    • Leaks and repairs
The services section of the Ryburn Plumbing & Heating example design: boiler repairs, boiler servicing, new boilers, heat pump servicing, power flushing and radiators, each with what’s included
Each service explained in a line, with what’s included, from the Ryburn Plumbing & Heating example design
  2. They ask “Have you done a job like mine?”

Recent jobs that show the fix, and win the next one

Most plumbing work is hidden once it’s done. A photo and a line about each job, what was wrong, what you did and how long it took, shows homeowners how you work.

    What you get

    • Recent jobs grouped by type, with the problem, the work and the result
    • The town and how long each job took
    • Filters so a heating customer sees heating jobs
    • Your phone photos cropped, colour-corrected and compressed so they look sharp and load fast

  3. They ask “Can I trust you in my home?”

A reputation that makes you the one they ring

Letting someone in to work on the gas or water is a big ask. Reviews, Gas Safe registration, written quotes and a proper guarantee make it an easy yes.

    What you get

    • Genuine Google reviews, shown near your work
    • Your Gas Safe registration, insurance and guarantees, where you hold them
    • How you work: a clear diagnosis, a fixed price agreed before you start, and a tidy finish
    • Only real reviews and credentials, never made-up ones
The why us section of the Ryburn Plumbing & Heating example design: Gas Safe registered, fixed written quotes, a 12-month guarantee and fully insured, above example reviews
Credentials and reviews in one place, from the Ryburn Plumbing & Heating example design
  4. They ask “Do you cover my area?”

Found by people searching in your area

People search for the job and the town, like “plumber Halifax” or “boiler repair Huddersfield”. Your site has to say clearly what you do and where before Google can match you to those searches.

    What you get

    • The towns you cover, listed on the pages that matter
    • Page titles, headings and descriptions that name your plumbing and heating work and your area
    • Your business details set up so search engines can read them, linked to your Google Business Profile if you have one
    • On Pro, pages for the main towns you cover. Good foundations, but nobody can honestly promise a ranking

Towns covered, shown on a map, from the Ryburn Plumbing & Heating example design
  5. They ask “How quickly can you come out?”

More call-outs, because reporting a problem is quick

When the heating’s off or a pipe’s leaking, people want an answer fast. The fewer steps between them and you, the fewer enquiries slip away.

    What you get

    • Tap-to-call and WhatsApp buttons, plus a bar that stays at the bottom of the screen on phones
    • A short enquiry form that comes straight to you, with spam protection built in
    • Fields that ask what’s wrong, how urgent it is and the postcode, so you can reply properly
    • Built and tested on phones first, and quick to load on a weak signal

A design I built to show what a plumber’s site should do. It leads with heating and plumbing services, shows recent jobs with the problem and the fix, and the quote form asks what’s wrong and how urgent it is.

Who builds it

Built by someone who knows the trades

I’ve worked in general building for over eight years. I know what it’s like to be on site all day, then quote jobs, answer customers and keep the business going around the actual work, with most of it coming from recommendations.

I’m not a plumber, so the details come from you. My job is to put your services, Gas Safe details and reviews up front and make ringing you the easy next step. You deal with me throughout, not a sales team.

How it works

Three steps, live in as little as a week

You don’t need to become a web designer or a copywriter. A short call and some photos of your work, and I handle the writing, design and technical side.

  1. We talk it through

A short call about what you do, the work you want more of (boilers or heat pumps rather than small repairs, say), the areas you cover and the guarantees you offer.

  2. I build your website

I write the copy around that work, pick your best job photos and build the site around them. You don’t have to write a word.

  3. You approve it. I launch it.

You check it and ask for any changes. Once you’ve approved it, you pay and it goes live.

If you don’t approve it, you don’t pay.

After the first year, hosting is £19 a month. It’s rolling, so you can cancel anytime.

What’s one extra job worth to you?

Move the sliders to your own numbers. This works out turnover, what customers pay you, not profit.

Extra turnover

£9,600 a year

A Trade website is £495, paid once you’re happy with it. One or two jobs could cover it.

An illustration using your figures. It isn’t profit, and it isn’t a promise of extra work.

FAQ

Questions plumbers ask

Keep it coming. A recommendation gets your name passed on, and your site is what backs it up when someone checks you out before letting you into their home. It’s also the one place with no other plumbers suggested next to you. Why word of mouth and a website work together.

No. I build your site first, you look it over and ask for any changes. You only pay once you’re happy with it. If it’s still not right for you, you walk away owing nothing.

No. Phone photos are fine. A neat boiler install, tidy pipework or a finished bathroom shows the standard of your work. Send me what you’ve got, and I’ll pick the best and prepare them for the site. I can also tell you which jobs are worth photographing, and you can send more to add later. How to take better photos of your work.

Yes. Your number and WhatsApp are one tap away on every page, and the form asks what’s wrong and how urgent it is, so you can tell a burst pipe from a dripping tap before you ring back.

Yes. I’ll build the site around your logo and colours. If you don’t have a logo, the site can use your business name in a clean, simple style.

I build it with local SEO foundations in place. The page title, headings and copy name the plumbing and heating work you do and the towns you cover, so search engines can match you to searches like “plumber Halifax” or “boiler repair Huddersfield”. That way Google knows what you do and where, and the page is quick to load on a phone. It gives you solid foundations, but no web designer can guarantee a particular position in Google. What else helps you show up locally.

Yes. On Trade and Pro, boilers, heat pumps and bathrooms each get their own page, so people searching for those bigger jobs land on a page about exactly that.

Yes. Your Gas Safe registration, insurance, guarantees and any other accreditations can sit near the top where people look. I only show credentials and logos you actually hold.

Yes. Plenty of plumbers do both. Your site can lead with the work you want more of and still make it clear you take on repairs, so you don’t lose the jobs that keep the diary full.

No. We have a short call about your business and the work you want more of, you send me some photos, and I write and build the rest.

A one-page site is usually ready in about a week, a Trade site in about two weeks and a Pro site in two to three weeks. I’ll give you a date on our first call.

Yes. Send me photos of a new job, or the change you want, and I’ll update it for you. Content updates are £30 an hour, and most new-job updates are quick. New sections or design changes are quoted separately.

Yes, it’s yours once you’ve paid for it, with no lock-in. Hosting and support are included for the first 12 months. After that it’s £19 a month, rolling, so you can cancel anytime. If you do, I’ll send you the files and transfer your domain so you can host it wherever you like.
